PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Philadelphia 76ers are succeeding retro. The Sixers have changed their logo and colors to wake the established “76ers basketball” logo and the red, snow-White and blue Color scheme. The logo, end used during the 1996-97 season, consists of a Color racket originally established in 1963 and Second-hand during the Sixers’ two championship seasons in 1966-67 and 1982-83.
This is the firstly prime logo change for the Sixers since 1997-98, when the logo was modernized to include Black, pearly and gold into a stylized “76ers” that featured a red and nacreous star to the left and a gold ball with downhearted stripes below.
